I am 57 years of age. I am a gentle person and I am somewhat reserved at times. There are some who might say that I have a type B personality. I think that they are right.



I have a good but mildly warped sense of humor...however, I always enjoy a good laugh.



My interest in music is mildly eclectic (R & B and classic rock and pop from the '60s and '70s) but my favorite music is modern (20th/21st century) classical.



I am willing to read anything but I really like fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. My movie viewing choices closely mirror my reading choices. My television viewing habits are somewhat broader.



As a homebody, I enjoy peace and serenity. Don't get me wrong...I enjoy going out occasionally but I am just as happy to stay in. However, I do not go to night clubs or bars; such places hold no appeal for me especially since they tend to be crowded and unsanitary, noisy, smokey, and I do not imbibe alcohol; a main focus of such establishments. But, I have absolutely no problem with moderate alcohol consumption by others.



I detest negativism, confusion, and unnecessary complications in life. Life is for enjoyment; it is too short for clutter. However, I deal with anything and everything that comes my way.



Although I choose not to “go out” very often, I am open to new situations with the right person. I do enjoy life and I am eager to experience life outside of my normal comfort zone...any recommendations?



Getting up in the morning for a good run or a good workout before going to work is very important to me. Exercise is my morning cup of coffee--the subsequent endorphin high lasts all day. The result is that I am never moody--I am almost always upbeat. As long as I am physically able, I will always exercise regularly.



I enjoy a healthy lifestyle: a balanced diet, regular exercise, minimal stress, and enjoyment. Although I eat in a reasonably healthy manner, an infrequent pinch of junk food is not out of the question. Although I thoroughly enjoy my exercise regimen, the ability to relax is just as important and I am very good at that, too.

My partner and I should find one another attractive emotionally, mentally, and visually/physically. My partner and I can share our experiences and activities with ease and comfort. We should have mutual enjoyment of many things but not necessarily everything. My partner should be independent but sensitive and considerate. My partner thinks for herself but is open-minded.
