Believe it or not, my name really IS Kitty!

I am single and recently moved back to the USA (South Florida), after spending several years living in Mexico, on a horse ranch in the high desert just north of Mexico City. I owned horses, goats, sheep, chickens, dogs and several canaries, even competing in team sorting and other rodeo competitions (sometimes placing, but never FIRST place, dammit.)

I retired early after a couple of successful careers -- one in television news and documentaries, and the other in local government management. Lots of writing. I had been divorced for several years, kids had left the nest, and professionally, I had just had enough. I realized that money wasn't everything, although I am quite comfortable, and I decided to do precisely what I have wanted to do since I was three years old: own, raise, and ride horses and other animals. Having been born in Brooklyn, NY, that was a tall order and it took me a few decades (while life occurred) to make it happen.

Here's the kicker: I MISS IT TERRIBLY! I have not been on a horse in almost a year and am looking for buddies/friends, possibly more (eventually), who have a love of animals, the outdoors, riding and water sports, a fun-loving outlook on life, an outgoing personality, a sense of humor that won't quit (to match mine), a desire to travel and do fun things, economic and -- especially -- emotional stability, and a little time for companionship and adventure.

I am a dependable and loyal friend, sensitive and intelligent, and independent. I am funny and love to HAVE fun, and I have a bucket list about a mile long, including traveling to off-the-beaten-path locations around the globe. (Himalayas anyone?) I love reading, (mostly non-fiction), all kinds of movies, cooking, dining out, and quiet evenings at home. From long rides and camp stoves to fine wine and restaurants -- love it all!

I don't really NEED anything, but am looking for friendship, companionship and whatever that might lead to. Chronologically, I just turned 60, but I don't look, feel or ACT (especially!) like it -- holding up pretty well and feeling great!

Although I am a writer, this is difficult, writing about myself. Really, I don't know what to say, although they say there is an 'art' to writing profiles on dating sites. This is a first for me. If anything about what you've read sounds interesting to you, I'd love to hear from you, tell you more, and find out about you. Who knows? Life is short, and I don't want to waste any time!
