The issue I find with these profiles is balancing “honesty” with HONESTY. I can be coy, play the game, bat my eyelashes, but that will only serve to make me as fake as all the other females out there. Or I can be real, really real, the real that all these men are asking for, true to myself and what I believe. The first one will get me response after response, but it will be because of the lie. The second one is a little tougher to deal with and it produces fewer results, but it’s the truth, and it’s honest, and it’s me.

So the question stands: Do you want really real, truly honest? Or do you want a facsimile, a fake?

There is something about the uniforms and the men who wear them, the pride, the bearing, the flash of… primal… just behind their eyes. As well as the ethos, the mindset, (for the most part) the honor, integrity, protective streak, and loyalty that comes along with that particular package.

I miss that “you are my favorite toy” look, the “you are so mine”, “you are so sexy”, and “just wait until we get out of here” glances when out in public. The possessive squeeze of a hand, the weight of a gaze from across a crowded room, the way they move in their own skin. As it was put to Me so succinctly: “Knowing there’s someone at your back who has everything to lose and absolutely nothing to gain by taking you out. Someone you can trust damn near implicitly to protect what’s theirs.” sighs softly Call Me an old-fashioned Girl, but I miss all of that something fierce! It’s so hard to find that nowadays; believe Me, I’ve been looking.

And it looks like I will continue to do so…
